prejudice

it began about a few million years ago

when one group of cave men

ganged up on another group of cave men

think about that

our brains are steeped in beliefs

that have been hammered into our heads

since we popped out

school, parents, church and state

and now

you start to see how crazy everybody is

and how relative a thing

truth always turns out to be

because today's truth is tomorrow's misconceptioon

and today's crackpot is tomorrow's genius

and often the other way around

so just remember that

all the beliefs you have treasured and adhered to

the cherished notions that gave you so much

comfort and solace

may turn out to be just that
